I genuinely thought that March might be relatively quiet. Other than having plans to go to London with work for an event, I didn't think I'd have much else going on really.
How wrong I was!
This was my March:
Hotel booked for Amsterdam!
We booked the flights separately to the hotel and did this last month. Giving us a bit more time to find a hotel suitable for us, wanting something central, family friendly and with two rooms with twin beds.
I narrowed it down to two hotels and showed them to my mum. One of the hotels was my favourite, she asked if it was cheaper to book direct with the hotel which, with other ones I've looked at, it wasn't but with this one....good suggestion! We got 15% off, late check out and the city fee's paid! We also got canal view rooms which I can't wait for! It ticks all of our boxes and it's so nice to no longer have that pressure.
New tattoos!
I have tattoos on my right leg. These I refer to as my "spiritual tattoos". Every single one of the tattoos on my body has a meaning, some on my arm have a spiritual meaning but the ones on my right leg are specifically anything that means something to me spiritually. I have wanted a pig tattoo for a long time and decided to go for it. Seeing pigs always brings me joy (and tears to my eyes a lot of the time).
I also decided to get a tattoo on my shoulder/collarbone. I'd seen a quote which really hit home to me which was:
"And just like the moon, you shall go through phases of light, of dark, and of everything in between. And though you may not always appear with the same brightness, you are always whole".
I loved this so much that I decided to get the phases of the moon tattooed on me, along with the sun:
"As the sun, we always rise again".
As well as two of my angel numbers.
"11:11" and "22:22".
I absolutely love it. I never really planned to get a tattoo on that part of my body but as soon as it was on me it gave me that feeling of confidence I always get when I get a new tattoo. And dare I say it, it made me feel beautiful.
Another new piercing!
When I got my piercing in February I fell in love with a particular earring. I couldn't stop thinking about it so thought "Oh go on then" and booked in. This time it's in my mid helix. I absolutely love it!
New Delft items!
We got up early one Sunday with the plan to go to a car boot sale. I didn't expect to buy much or anything at all really. There wasn't anything in particular I was looking out for BUT I was so happy when I saw 3 Delft Blauw items all for £1 each!
I collect Delft Blauw and usually pick up items at Antique Shops and didn't expect to find them at the car boot. At £1 each, I felt like I stole them!
A week later I went back to the car boot sale with my son for him to raid the Hot Wheels stand. As we were walking there I saw a Delft vase. There was no price on it and I expected the guy to say £7. I asked how much it was...50p! Bargain! So I said "Let me give you £1".
This brings my total of Delft items collected to 10! Just another 15 to go to hit my target of owning 25 pieces.
New rings!
We went to an Antiques Fair in Norwich and usually this will mean I'm on the hunt for more Delft items. I didn't get any but I did get 2 new rings.
For a while I've wanted a ring with an eye on it. I looked online but I really wanted to try something on and make sure I loved it before purchasing. I found one! It's not for everyone but I absolutely love it.
I also got a ring with 3 Amber stones in it. I've always loved Amber so was really pleased to find that. Even better, they gave me £5 without me having to haggle!
I also picked up a Ghost Stories book for £1! Bargain!
Acts of Kindness!
My fiance's dad, step mum and little sister sent me over some congratulations flowers which was such a lovely surprise. Especially as they are my favourite, tulips!
I won!
I nominated myself in the Most Inspiring Employee of the Year category for the Great British Workplace Wellbeing Awards. I have been manifesting it for a long time and wasn't quite sure how I was feeling on the night. It was a tough category and I was up against some big people but....they called my name and I WON!!
Another example of acts of kindness can be seen in this photo too. My beautiful friend made me a gorgeous crystal bracelet. It has a lot of meaning to it, as well as featuring my "lucky/special" number....15. I'm never taking it off.
